In Bhutan, poetry is considered a means for remembering oral history, traditional customs, and so forth. In the past, poetry was commonly orally recited or sung at gatherings, and other occasions. This particular poem was written by Karna Kumar Ghalley himself. He says he has been writing poem and stories since a young age. This poem glorifies the country of Bhutan.
༉ སྙན་རྩོམ་འདི་ མཁས་པའི་བྱ་བ་ འཆད་རྩོད་རྩོམ་གསུམ་གྱི་སླ་ཁ་ལས་གཅིག་ རྩོམ་པའི་བྱ་འདི་ཨིན། དེ་ཡང་ ང་བཅས་རའི་ཁ་རྒྱུན་རིག་གཞུང་ཚུ་སེམས་ཁར་དྲན་པའི་ཐབས་ཅིག་ཨིནམ་ད་ དང་ཕུ་གི་དུས་ལུ་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ སྙན་རྩོམ་འདི་ ཚིག་ལྷུག་སྦེ་སླབ་ནི་དང་ ཡང་ཅིན་དུས་སྟོན་ནང་ མི་དམངས་སྤུངས་འཛོམས་རེ་འབད་བའི་སྐབས་ སྐད་ཀྱི་གདངས་དབྱངས་ཀྱི་ཐོག་ལས་སྦེ་འཐེན་སྲོལ་ཡོདཔ་ཨིན། ད་རེས་ནངས་པར་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱིས་ དང་ཕུ་གི་ཡིག་ཆ་ཚུ་ནང་ སྙན་རྩོམ་གྱི་ཐོག་ལས་བྲིས་བྲིསཝ་ཚུ་མཇལ་ཚུགསཔ་མ་ཚད་ སྙན་རྩོམ་དེ་ཚུ་ཡང་ དུས་ཚོད་ཀྱི་གནས་སྟངས་དང་འཁྲིལ་ཏེ་བཟོ་སྟེ་འདུག ད་ལྟོའི་སྙན་རྩོམ་འདི་ ཀར་ན་ཀུ་མར་དགའ་ལེགས་ཀྱིས་འབད་ ལྷོ་མཚམས་པའི་ཁ་སྐད་ནང་བྲིས་བྲིསཝ་ཨིནམ་ད་ ཁོ་ར་ཆུང་ཀུ་སྦེ་སྡོད་པའི་སྐབས་ལས་ར་ འདི་བཟུམ་གྱི་སྙན་རྩོམ་དང་སྲུང་ཚུ་ལེ་ཤ་ཅིག་ར་བྲིས་ཡོདཔ་མ་ཚད་ ད་རེས་ནངས་པར་ཡང་ སྙན་རྩོམ་དང་སྲུང་ཚུ་འབྲི་དོ་ཡོདཔ་ཨིན་མས། ད་ལྟོ་གི་སྙན་རྩོམ་འདི་ ང་བཅས་རའི་རྒྱལ་ཁབ་ལུ་བསྟོད་པ་རྐྱབ་སྟེ་ཕུལཝ་ཨིན་མས།

Air, water are beautiful in our Bhutan, tigers, bear, elephants, deer are all our friends

Good knowledge, good wisdom, let it be given to the people, Let us bring peace in the country and make it beautiful

To bring development in the country let us be ready, let us two brothers stay in cooperation

Fifty years back how was our Bhutan, during the 4th and 5th king's rule was like a garland

May the blessing shine upon the king and the people.The remote places of Bhutan is connected with road, electricity is used instead of lamp.

The beauty of greenery can be made by cows grazing on it, By selling curd, milk and butter let's help home by generating income.
