སྦོ་རོང་མང་ཟེར་སླབ་མི་འདི་ དང་ཕུ་ཨ་རྒས་སྦོ་རོང་སླབ་མི་ཅིག་གིས་ གེ་(གེ་ཟ་ཞིང་)ཞིང་བརྫམ་སྟེ་ བཏབ་སྟེ་ ཨ་རྒས་སྦོ་རོང་སླབ་མི་ཅིག་གིས་ གེ་ཞིང་འཛམ་སྟེ་ ཨ་ནི་སྦེ་ སྦོ་རོང་མང་ཟེར་ ཨ་ནི་སྦེ་ཐོབ་དོ་བཟུམ་ཅིག་འདུག་ལགས། ཤུལ་ལས་ སྦོ་རོང་རྩེ་སླབ་མི་འདི་ སྦོ་རོང་མང་ལུ་ གེ་ཞིང་བརྫམ་སྟེ་ ཐོག་ཁར་ལྷོད་དེ་ ཐོག་ཁར་སྤོ་བཤུད་སྦེ། དང་པོ་ཨ་རྒས་སྦོ་རོང་སླབ་མི་ཅིག་གིས་ གཡུས་སྦོ་རོང་མང་ སྦོ་རོང་རྩེ་ཟེར་ ཐོབ་དགོ་མི་འདི་ ཨ་རྒས་སྦོ་རོང་སླབ་མི་གིས་ ཐོབ་ཡོདཔ་མས། ཨ་ནེམ་ཅིག་མས་ ཆགས་ཐངས་ ཨ་ནི་གཡུས་ སྦོ་རོང་རྩེ་ སྦོ་རོང་མང་ཟེར་སླབ་མི་འདི་ ཨ་ནེམ་ཅིག་མས། ཨ་རྒས་ཨང་རྒས་འདི་ཚུ་གིས་ ཨ་ནེམ་ཅིག་སླབ་དེས།

In the past there was a grandfather called as Borong. He had cleared the land and grown buckwheat. From there it was known as Borongmang. After having cleared all the land they reached above Borongmang. So they moved there and got its name as Borongtse. The place Borongmang and Borongtse got its name after a grandfather Borong. It is this much about how the place got its name. Grandparents told me this much.
