The women of Tabis village in Kurtoe Gewog (county) in Lhuntse Dzongkhag (district) sing a Boedra song called "Shargi Pema" (Eastern Lotus Flower). The song is about Guru Rinpoche and his consorts, who were born from a lotus flower in the middle of lake, comprising of two consorts. The lyrics describe Guru Rinpoche as born from the middle of the lotus flower and stood in between his two consorts, Khandro Yeshey Tshogyal and Khandro Lhacham Mandarawa. The final stanza of the song says that Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal was a servant to Guru Rinpoche. The song pays respect and brings homage to the precious master Guru Rinpoche.
