Tandin Dema from Hungrel presents “Dranyen Mecha,” one of the few popular songs in western Bhutan about a traditional string instrument, the dranyen. The song is a zhungdra, but it is also categorized as dangrim, as it is traditionally sung by several people standing on a line. The song describes the dranyen, and how its music is offered to beings of three different realms: to the gods in high heaven, the tsen spirits in the middle realm, and the demigods in the lower realm.
