Dhangpo Yangmi Jungjung, a Boedra song sang by Karma Tshewang from Shongphu gewog under Trashigang district seems to be an origin of domestic animal called yak. According to the lyrics, it describes about the origin and the beauty of Yak but in the explanation part of the singer, he states that it is about a domestic animal called Sheep that were also reared by the highlanders. The song praises the yak, stating that it looks like a crystal rosary and few other examples that would elevate the yak and make it as a great animal. Thus, it is a glorification song.
