The practice of dedicating whatever merit accumulated to all sentient beings is an extraordinary aspect of Buddhist society. At the end of any religious ritual or ceremony the merits are dedicated. The dedication of these merits can be compared to the practice of making an agreement when borrowing money from somebody. The particular event registered in this video is the final dedication of merit to honor the host who sponsored a Mipham Rinpoche ritual in Gangtey Shedra.

    I call upon all buddhas and bodhisattvas of the ten directions to pay heed to the sponsor, self and all other sentient beings vast as space.

    སྦྱིན་པའི་བདག་པོ་འདི་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་དེ་ལྟར་བགྱིས་པའི་དགེ་བའི་རྩ་བ་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས། སྤྱིར་གྱིས་ཕན་བདེའི་འབྱུང་གནས་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་བསྟན་པ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ཕྱོགས་དུས་གནས་སྐབས་ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་རྙེད་པ་དང་བཀུར་སྟིར་བཅས་ཏེ་དར་ཞིང་རྒྱས་ལ་ཡུན་རིང་དུ་གནས་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག།
    Through this kind of deeds by the sponsor and through it's root of merits, may the precious buddha's teachings, the main source of benefit and happiness be obtained in all directions, in all times and in all circumstances and with regards it flourish to the longevity.

    May the extraodinary wish and intend of friends of buddhist, the glorious masters who attained liberation be perfectly and progressively achieved.

    May all the hindrances to life and activities of present great buddhist followers be pacified.

    Likewise, may (they) be in good health, live long and (their) benefiting activities to beings florish to the vastness of the sky.

    Through their empowering blessings, our minds are purified. Because of this power, may all the illness, negetive provocations, obstacles and discordances in sponsor's life be diminished.

    May we be endowed with all the auspicious and excellence of the mundane and supramundane.

    འཇིག་རྟེན་གི་ཁམས་ཐམས་ཅད་དུའང་། ལོ་ཕྱུགས་རྟག་ཏུ་ལེགས་ཤིང་། ཆར་ཆུ་དུས་སུ་འབབ་པ། མི་ནད་ཕྱུགས་ནད་ལ་སོགས་པ་རྒྱུན་ཆད་དེ། བདེ་བ་དང་ལྡན་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག།
    Also in all realms of the world, (may) harvest be constantly abundant and cattles be healthy. (May) there be timely rainfall and the human and cattles be freed from diseases and endowed with happiness.

    མདོར་ན་སྦྱིན་པའི་བདག་པོས་ཐོག་དྲངས། བདག་གཞན་ནམ་མཁའ་དང་མཉམ་པའི་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་བདེ་བ་དང་ལྡན་སྡུག་བསྔལ་དང་བྲལ་ཏེ། མྱུར་དུ་རྣམ་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་པ་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་གོ་འཕང་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ཐོབ་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག།
    In short, having endowed with the happiness and seperated from the sufferings, may the sponsor lead oneself, others and all sentient beings into the awakened state.

    བསོད་ནམས་འདི་ཡིས་ཐམས་ཅད་གཟིགས་པ་ཉིད། །ཐོབ་ནས་ཉེས་པའི་དགྲ་རྣམས་ཕམ་བྱས་ནས། །སྐྱེ་རྒ་ན་འཆིའི་རྦ་ཀློང་འཁྲུགས་པ་ཡི། །སྲིད་པའི་མཚོ་ལས་འགྲོ་རྣམས་གྲོལ་བར་ཤོག །
    Through this merits, may all attain omniscience and defeat negative factors. From the samsaric ocean which is troubled by waves of birth, old age, sickness and death, may beings be liberated.

    འགྲོ་ཀུན་དགེ་རྩ་ཇི་སྙེད་ཡོད་པ་དང་། །བྱེད་དང་བྱེད་འགྱུར་བྱེད་ཞིན་བྱས་པ་དང་། །བཟང་པོ་སྤྱད་ཕྱིར་དེ་དྲའི་ས་དག་ལ། །ཀུན་ནས་ཀུན་ཀྱང་བཟང་པོ་རེག་གྱུར་ཅིག །
    All roots of virtues that the beings have, that are yet to create, created and creating. May such good actions be continously practised.

    བསོད་ནམས་སྟོབས་ཆེན་འདིའི་མཐུས། །སྦྱིན་བདག་མི་ནོར་འཁོར་བཅས་ལ། །ཚེ་འདིར་བསམ་དོན་ཀུན་གྲུབ་གྱུར་ཅིང་། །བར་ཆད་ཞི་ནས་བཀྲ་ཤིས་པ། །བསམ་པ་ཡིད་བཞིན་གྲུབ་པའི་བཀྲ་ཤིས་ཤོག །
    By the great power of this merit, may all the aspirations of the sponsor, all human and cattles be fulfilled in this life time. And may the obstructions be pacified and wishes be fulfilled.

    And also in this life itself, with the negative factors diminished, may (we) live long without diseases attaining perfect and constant bliss.
