People of Buli Gewog (county) in Zhemgang Dzongkhag (district), celebrate their annual offering called Chodpa, which happens on the 10th month of the year in the Bhutanese calendar. This festival is said to be conducted for three days and all the mess and rations are managed by the villagers themselves. The origin of this practice is not known yet people practice it without fail. The day before the offering, villagers gather with their share of rations to be submitted and it is all collected and taken care of by the one in charge of the mess, appointed by the people.
