Jaza Boedla Midro is a common song in Bhutan. It is believed that the song was derived from the Biography of Buddha Shakyamuni. The song is about a daughter of a Chinese King, who was invited to Tibet by the King of Tibet (Songtsen Gyampo) as his bride. But the Princess denied the invitation as she thought Tibet was a country of darkness, without the flourishing of Buddha dharma. Thus, the song describes her denial despite her father's frequent insistence. As per the lyrics of the song, the father had offered her millstone that could potentially produce golden powder, but she denied it and requested her father to give it to the minister so she did not have to go to Tibet.
