Jangbu, a well known contemporary Tibetan poet from Amdo, reads the poem "Can this Great Vessel Deliver Us to the Other Side?" from his book Poetic Compositions: The Nine-eyed Zi Stone. This poem is on page 30.

- ལྗང་བུགྲུ་གཟིངས་ཆེན་པོ་འདིས་ང་ཚོ་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་སྒྲོལ་ཐུབ་བམ།Can this great vessel deliver us to the other side?
- ལྗང་བུགྲུ་གཟིངས་འདི་ཆེ་དྲག་བཞགThis vessel is too large.
- ལྗང་བུསྒེའུ་ཁུང་མི་འདུག སྒོ་མི་འདུགIt has no windows, it has no doors.
- ལྗང་བུང་ཚོ་སྐྱེས་པ་ནས་འདིའི་ནང་དུ་འཚོ་དགོས་བྱུངWe have had to live within it since our birth.
- ལྗང་བུགྲུ་གཟིངས་འདིའི་གཡས་གཡོན་དུ་མདུན་རྒྱབ་ཏུ་གྲུ་གཟིངས་གཞན་ཡོད་མེད་ང་ཚོས་མཐོང་ཐབས་བྲལWe lack any means to see whether or not there are any other vessels to the right, left, front or back of this vessel.
- ལྗང་བུགྲུ་གཟིངས་འདི་བཙོན་ཁང་མ་ཡིནThis vessel is not a prison.
- ལྗང་བུབཙོན་ཁང་དང་འདྲ་བར་སྣང་བ་ཙམIt merely seems to be one.
- ལྗང་བུང་ཚོ་ཆེས་དམའ་ས་སྟེ་ཁྲོན་པའི་གཏིང་ལྟ་བུའི་ཆེས་དམའ་ས་རུ་བསྡད་ནས་ཡར་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་ལྟ་དུསWe are so low, we stay so very low as if in the depths of a well, and when we look up at the sky,
- ལྗང་བུཉི་འོད་ཀྱིས་སྤྲིན་པ་དམར་པོ་གཡོ་བ་དང་སྐར་མ་ཁ་ཤས་ཆག་གས་སུ་འགྲོ་བཞིན་པ་མཐོངWe see red clouds wavering and a few stars moving brokenly in the sun's light.
- ལྗང་བུསྤྱི་ལོ་༢༠༠༠ལོའི་སྤྱི་ཟླ་དྲུག་པའི་ཚེས་ཉེར་དྲུག་མཐོང་གིན་འདུགI am seeing this on the twenty sixth day of the sixth international month in the year 2000.
- ལྗང་བུགཟའ་ཟླ་བ་མཐོང་གིན་འདུགI am seeing this on a Monday.
- ལྗང་བུབར་སྣང་ན་བྱ་སྤུ་ལྟར་ཡང་ཟོར་གྱིས་འཕུར་གྱིན་པའི་དཀྲོག་གཏམ་དང་ཡིན་མདོག་མདོག་གི་བཟོ་སྐྲུན་ཁ་ཤས་མཐོང་གིན་འདུགI am seeing a few pretentious fabrications and rumors floating lightly like a bird's feather in space.
- ལྗང་བུགྲུ་གཟིངས་འདིས་མི་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་འཚང་ཀ་དང་སེམས་ཁྲལ་དང་བླུན་རྨོངས་གསར་པ་ཁྱེར་ནས་ང་ཚོ་ཁ་ཕྱོགས་གང་ལ་འཁྲིད་ཀྱིན་ཡོདThis vessel brings new jostling of crowds, new worries in the mind, and new ignorance - where is it leading us to?
- ལྗང་བུང་ཚོ་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་སླེབས་པར་ད་དུང་གཡོ་སྒྱུ་དང་བཙན་ཚུགས་ཅི་ཙམ་དགོསHow much more hypocrisy and violence must we endure to arrive at the other side?
- ལྗང་བུའདམ་ར་དང་མྱ་ངམ་ཐང་རེས་མོས་ཀྱིས་འཁོར་འོང་བའི་སྐམ་ས་ཆེན་པོ་འདི་ནས་གཞན་དུ་སླེབས་ཐུབ་བམWill we be able to arrive anywhere other than this great continent where we cycle through swamp and desert?
