Sempa from Richanglu sings Big Lotus Flower, believed to be one of the oldest known songs of Bhutan. The lyrics describe a blossoming garden in the east emanating forth 'lotus light.' Its largest flowers are offered to the gods and goddesses of the heavens; the medium blooms to the spirits and deities in the air; finally, the small blossoms are offered to the nagas, beings who belong to a class of serpent deities.
