Choden from Trongsa District sings “The Auspicious Valley” (Lungpa Trashi Yangchak) at the Karma Studio in Thimphu, during the symposium organized by the Royal Academy for Performing Arts in 2016. The song “The Auspicious Valley” talks about a self-manifested gold statue that emerged from dry sand at the top of mountain Lungpa Trashi Yangchak, a self-manifested turquoise statue from the slope of that mountain, and a self-manifested silver statue from the interior of that mountain. These sacred objects, the song says, are important for the universe, and are offered at an altar for the benefit of all sentient beings.
