Tempa a Bön priest of Zhobleng village narrates an account of the Zhobleng community temple. He is talking about how the construction of the temple first began and who initiated the construction. Besides he also talks about who did the mural painting and the labour work contribution done by the local people. He also talks about a mani prayer wheel constructed near the temple and the local plan to extend the temple if the government would provide the necessary support. The temple according to him is over 50 years when this recording is done.

ད་ཨིན་རྒྱུ་འདི་ དང་ཕུ་མར་ལུ་སྡོད་ཅི་ལགས། མཆོད་རྟེན་ཟེར་ སླབ་སྟེ་སྡོད་ཅི་ལགས། སྡོད་ཡང་ ང་བཅས་རའི་ ལམ་ཁའི་མཆོད་རྟེན་བཟུམ་སྦེ་ ཅོག་ཏོར་ཏོ་བཏང་སྡོད་ཅི་ལགས་ དེ་ཁར་འོག་ལས་སྦ་ལེབ་ཀྱི་བསྐོར་ ལྟག་ལས་རྩིགཔ་གདངས་རིངམོ་རྐྱབ་སྟེ་སྡོད་ནུག་ལགས།
It was down there before as a chorten and was similar to our chorten on the way standing like a statue. It was surrounded by a bamboo mat from under and was wall from up.

དེ་ལས་ མཐའམ་བདའ་སྟེ་ ཨེན་ཏ་བསྒྲིགས་ཏེ་སྡོད་ནུག། ཨ་ནཱ་ ད་ལྟོ་ སྨན་སྤྲོད་ཁང་བཟོ་སར་ཨིན་ལགས། ཐག་རིང་ས་ཡང་མེན་ འདི་ཁར་ དགའ་སྤྲོ་གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་འབད་དེ་ ཆུ་འདིནི་མར་ཨིན་གཟར་ཅན་ལུ་ ཆུ་དུང་དེནི་མེད།
Then nearby it was beautifully decorated by planks. It was there where today the construction of medicine counter is going on, its not far and there it was very joyful but water-pipe was not there and was there at Zarchen.

དེ་ལས་ རོགས་ཀྱི་ ལྟོ་གི་སེ་ཀོམ་ཁམ་རྡོག་རེ་རེ་བཟའ་ཞིནམ་ལས་ པ་ལང་འབག་སྟེ་འགྱོ་ཡི་ལགས་ མར་ལས་མར། དེ་ལས་ ཨཔ་འདི་ཚུ་ཆང་གི་ཧོད་མེད་པར་སྡོད་སྡོདཔ་མས་ཏེ་ ས་དོང་བརྐོ་ཞིནམ་ལས་ སིང་ཆང་བཙག་ཆོག་ཆོ་བཟོ་ཞིནམ་ལས་ བཞག་འོང་ལགས།
Then they after eating a mouthful food, carries a wine-container and move down. There our fathers stayed having no wine-container and then they digged a hole and made ready to filter a wine.

དེ་ལས་ མར་ལས་དབོགས་ཅི་དབོགས་ཅི་ དེ་སྦེ་འཐུང་འོང་ལགས། དེ་ལས་ ཤུལ་ལས་ཏེ་ ང་བཅས་ར་ ཡར་ལྷ་ཁང་གི་སྐོར་ལས་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ ཡར་ལུ་ བླམ་ཐེར་ཅུང་གིས་ ཏེ་ཧེ་མ་བླ་མ་གི་ནོར་རེ་རེ་གཉིས་ ནཱ་ལས་ཕར་ཚུ་སྡོད་ནུག་ལགས།
Then they drank by scooping from down and later, about our lhakhang up there, there was found some of lama Therchung's cattles.

ནཱ་ལུ་ ཉེ་ཉེ་དཔའ་མོ་དང་ མེ་མེ་ལྡོག་ཆེན་ མེ་མེ་དབང་ལེགས་ཚུ་གིས་ རྩྭ་འབྲོག་ཁོ་ལུ་ཕུལ་ཕུལཝ་མས་ཏེ་ལགས། ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་རྩྭ་འབྲོག་ རྩྭ་འབྲོག་ཁག་བཞི་ལྔ་དེ་ཅིག་ཕུལ་ནུག་ལགས། དེ་ལས་ བླམ་ཐུགས་མཉེས་ཏེ།
Here the nge nge Pamo, mimi Dhogchwn and mimi Wangleg, three of them offered the pasture-land to him. We have had offered about four to five parts of the pasture-land to him and the lama was pleased and

ད་ཁྱོད་ཚུ་གིས་ ལྷ་ཁང་རྐྱབ་ཤིག་ཟེར་ བཟོ་བ་ང་གིས་ འཚོལ་བཏང་གེ་ཟེར་ བཏང་གནང་ནུག་ལགས། དེ་བསྒང་ ང་བཅས་ཆུང་ཀུ་སྦེ་སྡོད་ནུག་ལགས། ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་ ཨ་པ་ཚུ་སྡོད་ནུག་ལགས། དེ་ལས་ ཁོང་གིས་ ཤིང་པག་ཀ་པོག་ཀ་བཏང་བཞོགས་ཏེ།
said 'You all construct the lhakhang, I will search and send the workers' and was send according to it. That time we were young and our fathers cut the woods.

ལྷ་ཁང་གི་བཟོ་བ་འདི་ ཨིན་རྒྱུ་འདི་ཕར་ ང་བཅས་རའི་ ཕར་ལས་ཨིན་པས་ལགས། བྱང་ཨ་རིང་ལས་ མེ་མེ་རྟ་མགྲིན་ ཨང་རྒས་བདེ་ཆེན་དང་ མེ་མེ་རྟ་མགྲིན་གྱིས་ བུམོ་རིན་འཛིན་དང་ ཀུན་བཟང་ཚུ་ ནཱ་ལུ་སྦེ་གསོ་ཡི་ལགས།
craftsmen of the lhakhang were all from our village. The mimi Tandin and Grandmother Dechen from Jang Aring and there children daughter Rinzin and Kuenzang were born here.

ཏེ་དེ་ལས་ ད་ལྟོ་བཟུམ་སྦེ་ ཏི་རུ་བྱིན་ནི་ག་ཏེ་འོང་སྦ་ཏེ་ རྩམ་པ་ཨིན་ཏེ་ལགས། དེ་བསྒང་ ཁོ་ལུ་རྩམ་པ་ཏེ་ལགས་ འ་ནཱི་སྦེ་བཏབ་ཅི་ལགས། དེ་ལས་ ནཱ་ལུ་བསྒྲུབས་ཞིནམ་ལས་ བཟོ་ལཱ་ཚུ་ཡང་སྤྲོད་དེ་ ལྡེབས་རིས་འདི་ཚུ་བཞེངསམ་ད།
Before there was no culture for paying money as a wages instead given a flour and he was given flour as a wages. After the construction was over, the workers were given a work allowance and while painting the wall paintings

ང་བཅས་རའི་ ཡར་ཏ་ལི་ལས་རྡོ་རྗེ་དབང་ཕྱུག་ དགེ་སློང་རྡོ་རྗེ་དབང་ཕྱུག་ཡོད་པའི་ ཨ་པ་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ལ་ཟེར་འབོ་འོང་ལགས། འ་ནཱི་གི་བུ་ དེ་ལས་ ང་བཅས་རའི་ ཡར་བུམ་ཐང་ལས་ སློབ་དཔོན་ཚེ་རིང་དོན་གྲུབ་ འདི་ཡང་བླ་མའི་ཐུགས་ཀྱིས་སྦེ་གནང་སྟེ།
Gelong(monk) Dorji Wangchuck a son of Ap Peljorla from Tali and up from our Bumthang Lopen Tshering Dendup

ལྡེབས་རིས་ཡང་ ཁོང་གིས་སྦེ་ བཞེངས་གནང་ཡི་ལགས། བླ་མ་གིས་སྦེ་གནང་ཏེ་ དེ་ལས་ སྐུ་རྟེན་གསུང་རྟེན་མིན་འདུག་ལོ་ཟེར་ དེ་ལས་ སངས་རྒྱས་གཅིག་ དེ་ལས་ གུ་རུ་གཅིག་ ཕྱག་རྡོར་གཅིག་ དེ་ཡང་ བླ་མ་གིས་མཛད་དེ་གནང་ཡི་ལགས།
They painted the paintings and was provided by a lama. As there was no statues and holy scriptures, lama too provided each statue of Buddha, Guru and Vajrapani.

དེ་ལས་ འ་ནཱམ་ཅིག་གནང་སྟེ་ ཡོན་ཡང་མེད་ རོགས་བླམ་ལུ་ལགས། རོགས་རམ་མཛད་མི་ བླམ་ཨིན་ལགས་ བླམ་ཐེར་ཅུང་ལགས།
Nothing such as offerings were offered to lama for that and he was the one who provided assistance to us, lama Therchung.

We being young could not help and we were cattle herder that time.

If its so, then the lhakhang is about fifty years old after construction, right?

Yes...it might been fifty years now. Ya..it is.

Then he was accompanied by his friend Dorji Wangchuck from Kidkhar as a helper. Gelong Dorji Wangchuck was also sent by lama and that time what we would had known.

རོགས་བླམ་ཐེར་ཅུང་ཁོ་ར་གིས་འཚོལ་ཏེ་ ནཱ་ལུ་ སློབ་དཔོན་ཚེ་རིང་དོན་གྲུབ་དང་ ཨ་ནཱི་རྡོ་རྗེ་དབང་ཕྱུག་ཟེར་ དགེ་སློང་ཨིན་ལགས། ཁོང་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་ གནང་ཡི་ལགས། ཟླཝ་གསུམ་ཨིན་ན་ཅིག་གི་ནང་བསྒྲུབས་ཅི།
It was lama Therchung who searched them, lopen Tshering Dendup and a helper Dorji Wangchuk and sent them here to do painting which was completed approximately within three months.

We do have a strong desire for renovation and we would be very thankful if it happen. Though Zhobleng had developed but in others of parts,

not here as it falls in a remote part. Even if we desire to provide our full services, we can't do because its not developed fully. Now we have extracted a ground also.
