Tangpa Dorji from Lha Nangzor village narrates about the fight old an old man's ox and Tsholang (an ox from Yurung Lake). An old man had an ox that used to drink water from Yurung Lake. One evening, the ox returned home drenched in blood and wounds. The old man was surprised and wondered what could have caused the damage. The following evening he followed his ox and reached Yurung Lake. He found Tsholang emerging out of the lake as his ox growled three times approaching the lake. He was watching his ox fighting Tsholang but could not help seeing his ox tossed off by Tsholing. The old man remained awake the whole night, planning for his ox's next fight. He fixed daggers on each of his ox's horns. The next evening started the same as before: his ox growled three times when approaching the lake. Tsholang emerged and the old man silently cheered for his ox. The water in the lake turned red with blood when Tsholang was defeated, forcing the mermaid (Tshoman) to abandon the place.
