Singye Dem from Ketokha village in Bongo Gewog (county) in Chukha district, shares about how she was possessed by Khandro (a shaman) and the rituals that she performed being a shaman. She says that she was possessed by Khandro when she was 25 years old and it was passed down from her grandmother. Her Khandro is called Yeshi Tsongyal, in addition during rituals she summons another Khandro named Meto Dem and a spirit too. Singye Dem performs rituals, one called Bja Choe (a summer ritual) during the 4th and 5th month of the Bhutanese calendar, one called Goen Choe (a winter ritual) during the 12th month of the calendar and also a ritual called Tsam Choe (retreat ritual) during the 10th month.
