Before the influence of Buddhist dharma, Bhutan was believed to be a very dark country and demons dominated over all living beings, taking many lives of those traversing their abode. The stone mill at Nyindukha village in Dagana Dzongkhag (district) was also such a place. It was commonly known as "Do Rangthang". Guru Rinpoche, extraordinary as he was, had already prophesized that demons were killing humans in that region and so he personally ventured to the scene and subdued the demon. He built a stupa to suppress the demons.

And there is tub where people’s blood is drained. The drain is still there, which can be seen even today. The stone in the side is funnel to millstone. And the rock lying above is lid. Ugyen Guru Rinpoche with the supernatural perception knew the existence of demon in various places and direction, so he came here. While coming here his feet landed on the head of cliff called Manchujak which is one kilometer away from here.

He said a prayer not to enable this lid and millstone to come together. And then he subjugated the demon. Her skin can be seen at Kongkom Jakphu, which is like shadow, black in colour. And as a counterforce he built stupa here.
