Chapchu Doya from Jigme County demonstrates in this video how to wear traditional local dress. In the past the Doya (Lhop) men wore “khasha,” a white piece of cloth that has two of its ends bound together and put around the neck. The dress went down to the knees and was held at the waist by a belt, in a similar way men’s national dress, the gho, is worn nowadays.

- Lhabey Doyaདང་པ་ར་ ཁ་ཤ་འདི་ གཡོན་ཁ་ཐུག་ལུ་དཀྱི། དེ་ལས་ གཡས་ཁ་ཐུག་ལུ་དཀྱིཝ་ཨིན། At first we wear Kasha to the left and than to the right.
- Lhabey Doyaདེ་ཁ་ཤ་འདི་ འ་ནཱེ་སྦེ་དཀྱིཝ་ཨིན། So, this is how Kasha is worn.
