The Dobji holy spring is also called as the Mitsangmai Menchu, mineral water which Dogaps historically believe can cure defilements and illness.

ད་ རྡོགཔ་སྦྱིས་ཀྱི་གྲུབ་ཆུ་འདི་ ཏེ་ ང་བཅས་ རྡོ་སྒར་པའི་གི་ དང་ཕུ་གི་ཁ་སྐད་ནང་ལུ་ ཏེ་ མི་གཙང་མའི་སྨན་ཆུ་ཟེར་ཡང་སླབ་ཨིན། གྲིབ་ཀྱི་སྨན་ཆུ་ཟེར་ཡང་སླབ་ཨིན། ཏེ་ ད་ འདི་བསྒང་ང་བཅས་ནཱ་གི་མི་ རྒས་ཤོས་འདི་ཚུ་གིས་ ཏེ་ ཚ་ཁྲིམ་(ཚ་རིམས་)ཅིག་རང་ན་ཆི་རུང་ ཏེ་ ད་རེས་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ ཏེ་ ད་ གཟུགས་ཁ་ལུ་འ་ནཱི་ སོན་མཐུད་ཟེར་ གྲིབ་ཟེར་སླབ་ཨིན་པས་ ཏེ་ ཀེན་སར་ཟེར་ཡང་སླབ་ཨིན་མས་ ཀེན་སར་གྱི་རྨ་ཟེར།

This blessed spring is used to cure cough and cold, defilements and wounds related to cancer.

If we are diagnosed cancer we have to visit Dobji holy spring with a wine-container to get the holy spring water. Half of it has to be drunk and half is used for bathing. So [the water] was also was like a doctor as there were no doctors in olden times.

འ་ནཱི་འཐོན་སོང་པ་ཅིན་ ཏེ་ མར་ ད་ རྡོགཔ་སྦྱིས་ ཏེ་ གྲིབ་ཆུ་ནང་སོང་ཤིག་ཟེར་ ཏེ་ མར་ལས་ ཏེ་ ཆུ་པ་ལང་གང་དབོག་ ཏེ་ ཆུ་སྤ་ལང་གང་དབོགཔ་འདི་ གངམ་འདི་གིས་ ཏེ་ ཕྱེད་གཟུགས་འཁྱུ་ ཏེ་ ཕྱེད་འཐུང་སྦེ་ཚར་ཞིནམ་ལས་ ཏེ་ ད་ དྲོག་ཀྲར་འདི་འ་ནཱི་ཨིན་མས་ལགས། ཏེ་ དང་ཕུ་ དྲག་ཀྲར་ཟེར་སོ་སོ་མིན་ནུག

So the holy spring helps to cure any type of illness, and especially cancer disease (defilement). It can also immediately cure wounds inside and outside the stomach.

ད་ འ་ནཱི་འབད་ཚར་ཞིནམ་ལས་ འ་ ད་ མར་ རྡོགཔ་སྦྱིས་ཀྱི་མི་གཙང་མའི་སྨན་ཆུ་འཐུང་ཚར་ཡི། ད་ ཁྱོད་ འ་ནཱི་གིས་དྲག་ཉོ་འོང་ ཟེར་བའི་བསྒང་ལས་ ཏེ་ རོགས་ ནང་ན་ལུ་ ཀེན་སར་གྱི་རྨ་ཡོད་རུང་ཡང་ ཏེ་ མ་དྲག་པའི་དཔེ་མི་སྲིད་པས། དེ་ལས་ གཟུགས་ཁར་མི་གཙང་འཐོན་སོང་སྟེ་འབད་ས་ཅིག་རུང་ ད་རེས་ ཏེ་ད་ གསོན་ཐུད་ཟེར་སླབ་མས་ དེ་བསྒང་ ཏེ་ མི་གཙང་ཟེར་སླབ་ཨིན། ད་ འ་ནཱི་མི་གཙང་མའི་གི་ སྨན་ཆུ་འགྱོ་བའི་བསྒང་ལས་ འདི་གིས་གཟུགས་ཁ་གི་རྨ་ཡོད་རུང་ ནང་ན་གི་རྨ་ཡོད་རུང་ དྭངས་འཕྲོས་འཕྲོས་སྦེ་དྲག་འགྱོཝ་མས།

There would not be a holy spring unless Milarepa had visited there. After he visited the holy spring was formed together with his statue as an offering of water [to the people]. The source of the holy spring is considered to be from Tibet (Ralung).

ཏེ་ ཆུ་འདི་གི་ ནུས་མཐུ་འདི་ ད་ ཁ་སྐད་གཅིག་ལས་ ཏེ་ད་ རྒས་ཤོས་ཚུ་གིས་ རྗེ་བཙུན་མི་ལ་གི་སྐུ་འདྲ་འདི་ དེ་ནང་མ་འབྱོན་བར་དུ་ཆུ་མེད་ རྗེ་བཙུན་མི་ལ་གི་སྐུ་འདྲ་འདི་བྱོན་ཚར་ཞིནམ་ད་ ཏེ་ རྗེ་བཙུན་མི་ལ་ཁོ་ར་གི་ སྐུ་འདྲ་འདི་དང་མཉམ་སྟེ་གི་ཡོན་ཆབ་སྦེ་ ཏེ་ འདི་གི་ཆུ་འདི་གི་རྐ་མགུ་འདི་ ཡར་འབྲུག་ར་ལུང་ལུ་ཨིན་ ཟེར་སླབ་སྲོལ་དེ་སྦེ་འདུག ཆུའི་གི་རྐ་འདི་ཡར་བོད་ལུ་ཨིན་ཟེར།

But we don't believe this, because if the water source is in Tibet, how can we believe that the holy spring appears in Bhutan. But the scientist claims that after examination, it is to be believed.

ཏེ་ འདི་ག་དེ་སྦེ་རང་མནོ་བསམ་བཏང་སྟེ་བལྟ་རུང་རང་ བདེན་འཛིན་ཅིག་སྤུ་ལས་རང་མི་རེ་བས་ ཆུ་འཐོན་ས་འདི་ ནཱ་ང་བཅས་འབྲུག་པའི་ས་གོ་ནང་འབད་ ཆུ་གི་རྐ་མགོ་འདི་ཡར་ བོད་ར་ལུང་ལུ་ཨིན་ཟེརཝ་ད་ འདི་བདེན་འོང་ག་མནོ་བའི་དོགས་པ་འདི་ ང་བཅས་ལུ་འདི་ དེ་རང་དེ་རང་ཆགསཔ་མས། ཏེ་ རོགས་ མཚན་རིག་མཁས་པ་འདི་ཚུ་ལུ་ ན་འཐན་འབད་དབྱེ་དཔྱད་འབད་དེ་འབདཝ་ད་ ཨའོ་ དེ་རང་འདི་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱིས་མི་བདེན་ཟེར་ སླབ་མི་ཤེས་ འདི་བདེན་རང་བདེན་འོང་། ཏེ་ ཆུ་འདི་ འཐོན་སུ་ནཱ་ལས་རང་འབད་རུང་ ཏེ་ ཆུའི་རྐ་མགོ་འདི་ཡར་ ར་ལུང་ཨིན་ཟེར་བ་ཅིན་འབདན་ མ་བདེནམ་དཔེ་མི་སྲིད་ ཐད་རི་བ་རི་རང་འོང་ཟེར་ ཏེ་ ག་གིས་རང་དེ་སྦེ་སླབ་ཨིན་པས།

This is the reason for considering the holy spring as a blessing. In olden times we were not allow to take bath in that holy spring as it is purified holy water. If we misused the holy spring it will destroy our body and singe the intestines.

ཏེ་ ཆུ་འདི་གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ཅིག་བྱིན་རླབས་ཅན་ ཏེ་ ནུས་མཐུ་ཅན་སྦེ་འབད་དགོ་མི་འདི་ གཅིག་འ་ནཱི་ཨིན་པས་ལགས། ཏེ་ སྔོན་མ་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ ད་ ང་བཅས་ འ་མི་ནང་གི་ཆུ་འདི་ལེགས་རང་ལེགས་ནི་འདི་གིས་ སྨན་ཆུ་སྦེ་སྤུ་ལས་སྦང་ནི་མིན་འདུག སྨན་ཆུ་སྦེ་སྦང་ད་པ་ཅིན་ འ་ནཱི་ཆུ་འདི་ གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ ལེགས་ཤོམ་ཡོད་དེ་གིས་ སྨན་ཆུ་འདི་གིས་ ད་ལྟ་རང་ གཟུགས་མེདཔ་བཏང་ད་འོང་ཟེར་ འ་ནཱི་ནང་ན་ ང་བཅས་ནང་ན་གི་ནང་ཁྲོལ་འདི་ ཁོ་གིས་མེདཔ་བཏང་དཔ་མས་བ་ལགས་ བཤུར་ཏེ་ འདི་ནང་རྟེན་ཉིད་ལས་ ཨ་ནཱི་ ཆུ་འདི་ འ་མི་ནང་གི་ཆུ་འདི་ མི་གཙང་མའི་སྨན་ཆུ་ཟེར་ ཁོ་ ནང་ན་ལུ་ནད་ཡོད་པ་ཅིན་ ནད་འདི་ རྟག་བུ་བཙོ་བཏང་དཔ་མས་བ་ལགས།

So we used it as cold water while washing and drinking. Our grandparents said that we should not use the holy spring as a stone bath because as it will singe our body and defile its holy nature.

ད་ འ་ནཱི་འབད་ནི་འདི་གིས་ ཆུ་འདི་ ཁོདམ་སྦེ་རང་འཁྱུ་དགོ་པས་ ཆུ་འདི་ཁོདམ་སྦེ་རང་ ཏེ་ དབོག་ ཁོདམ་སྦེ་རང་འཐུང་ ཁོདམ་སྦེ་རང་འཁྱུཝ་ཨིན་པས། ད་ འ་ནཱི་འབད་ནི་འདི་གིས་ ཏེ་ དང་ཕུ་རོགས་ སྨན་ཆུ་རྡོ་བཙོ་ཟེར་མིན་འདུག་ལགས། ཏེ་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་ ཕ་མའི་སྐབས་ལས་ ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ མར་གྱི་འདི་ རྡོ་བཙོ་སྦེ་འབད་མ་ད་ ཆུ་འདི་ལེགས་ ཆུ་འདི་གི་ནང་ན་ མེདཔ་བཏང་ད་འོང་ཟེར།

This holy spring water treats and cures illnesses such as cancer and defilements and that's why the holy spring was originated

ད་ འ་ནཱི་ཆུ་འདི་ཁོདམ་སྦེ་འཐུང་ ཁོདམ་སྦེ་འཁྱུ་ཚར་ཞིནམ་ལས་ ག་ར་འདི་གིས་དྲག་ དྲགཔ་ཨིན་ཟེར་ ད་ འ་ནཱི་སྦེ་སླབ་ཨིན་མས་ལགས། ད་ འདི་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱིས་ ཏེ་ ནཱ་ ཤེས་པའི་བསྒང་ལས་རང་ རོགས་ ཏེ་ མི་གཙང་མའི་སྨན་ཆུ་ཟེརཝ་མས་ལགས། རྡོགཔ་སྦྱིས་ རྗེ་བཙུན་ རྗེ་བཙུན་མི་ལ་གི་ མི་གཙང་མའི་སྨན་ཆུ་ཟེར་ ད་ མི་གཙང་མའི་སྨན་ཆུ་འབད་དགོ་མི་འདི་ དེ་བསྒང་ གསོན་ཐུད་འདི་ལུ་ མི་གཙངམ་ཟེར་སླབ་དགོ་བ་ལགས།

It is also called as offering water of Milarepa. These days also we use it as a water offering in front of the stupa. We also called it as defilement-removing mineral water.

ད་ འ་ནཱི་ རྗེ་བཙུན་མི་ལ་གི་ ཏེ་ མར་ ཡོན་ཆབ་ཟེར་སླབ་ཨིན་པས། དེ་བསྒང་ ཏེ་ ཕར་ བླ་མའི་སྐུ་མདུན་གྱི་མཆོདཔ་འདི་ འ་ནཱ་ལས་ཕུལཝ་ཨིན་མས། ཏེ་ དེ་ལས་ མི་གཙང་མའི་སྨན་ཆུ་ བླ་མའི་ཡོན་ཆབ་ཟེར་ ལ་ལུ་གཅིག་གིས་ བླ་མའི་ཡོན་ཆབ་ནང་ལས་ ཏེ་ མར་ལས་ཆུ་ཅིག་དབོག་སོང་ཟེར་ ལ་ལུ་གཅིག་གིས་ མི་གཙང་སྨན་ཆུ་ནང་ལས་ཆུ་ཅིག་དབོག་འབག་ཤོག་ཟེར་ ཏེ་ འ་ནཱི་དང་ཕུ་གི་རྒས་ཤོས་འདི་ཚུ་གིས་ ཕར་ བླ་མའི་སྐུ་མདུན་གྱི་མཆོདཔ་འདི་ འ་ནཱ་ལས་དབོག་ཕུལཝ་མས།

Milarepa's holy spring water comes out from the middle of the cliff. If we measure the size of the upper and lower cliffs, the holy spring emerges from the exact center of the cliff.

ང་བཅས་ཀྱིས་ འ་ནཱི་སྦེ་མཇལཝ་ད་འདི་ བྱག་གི་སྐེད་པ་ལས་འཐོན་མས་ལགས། མགུ་ལས་བྱག་ མར་ འོག་ལས་བྱག་སྦེ་ཞིནམ་ད་ བྱག་གི་སྐེད་པ་ལས་ཕར་ འ་ནི་སྦེ་འཐོནམ་མས། ད་ འ་ནཱི་འདི་འདི་ ཁོ་ བྱག་ ཡར་ ཕྱེད་ཀ་ མགུ་ལས་བྱག་ མཇུག་ལས་བྱག་འབདཝ་ད་ བཅའ་བགོ་འབད་བ་ཅིན་འདི་ ཏེ་ འ་ནཱི་ ཐིག་ཚད་འཇལ་བལྟ་བ་ཅིན་འདི་ ཕྱེད་ཀ་ཀྲིག་ཀྲི་གི་བར་ན་སྐོར་ལུ་ བྱག་ཕྱེད་ཀ་ཀྲིག་ཀྲི་གི་བར་ན་སྐོར་ཕར་ལས་འཐོན་མས།

Some of the diseases that can be cure by that holy spring are ulcer, boils and disease-related defilements.

ད་ ནད་གཞི་འདི་ཁོ་ དྲག་ནི་འདི་འདི་ འ་ནཱི་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་ནང་ན་ལུ་ ད་ ད་རེས་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ ཨཱལ་སར་ཟེར་སླབ་ཨིན་མས། ནང་ན་རྨ་འཐོན་སོང་མི་འདི་ འ་ནཱི་དྲག་རང་དྲག་ཚུགསཔ། ཏེ་ གཅིག་འ་ནཱི་མས། ཏེ་ གཅིག་འདི་ ཨ་ནཱི་གསོན་ཐུད་འདི་ཨིན་མས། གསོན་ཐུད་དེ་ཡང་ གཟུགས་ཁར་གསོན་ཐུད་འཐོན་སོང་པ་ཅིན་ ད་ དང་ཕུ་གི་ གསོན་ཐུད་ཀྱི་སྨན་འདི་ ངོ་མ་འདི་ འ་ནཱི་འདི་ཨིན་མས།

The water should be half used as drink and half used for washing to treat the disease. About the defilement and boil--defilement is a serious disease which leads to death unless the professional doctors help with the wound. That's why the holy spring is also helpful for that disease.

ད་ འ་ནཱི་ཆུ་འདི་ ཕྱེད་འཐུང་ ཕྱེད་ཆུ་འཁྱུ་སྦེ་ འ་ནཱི་གིས་དྲགཔ་ཨིན་པས། ཏེ་ མི་གཙངམ་འདི་དང་ ཏེ་ གསོན་ཐུད་དེ་འབདཝ་ད་ ལྷམ་གཉིས་འབད་དེ་ཡོད་ མི་གཙངམ་འདི་ཤུགས་ཆེ་ མི་གཙངམ་འདི་ ཁ་འཐོན་ཚུགས་ཚུགསཔ་ནང་སྐོར་ལུ་ ཏེ་ད་ སྨན་ཡུདཔ་ཅིག་ སྨན་ མཁས་པ་ སྨན་བཅོས་མཁས་པ་གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ཀྱི་ ད་ ཐབས་ཤེས་འབད་ཚུགསན་དྲག་ ལ་ལུ་གཅིག་མི་གཙངམ་ཁ་འཐོན་མ་ཚུགས་པར་ མི་ཤི་མི་ཡང་ཡོད།

And it is also useful to grow the tips of the wound which helps to cure the wound. As I mention above, it is very useful and helpful for curing the disease like cancer and ulcers.

ད་ འ་ནཱི་ མི་གཙངམ་འདི་ཨིནམ་ཤེས་མི་ཆ་ཁྱབ་ འ་ནཱི་ན་ལས་ཀྱི་ཆུ་འདི་དབོག་འཐུང་ད་པ་ཅིན་ ཏེ་ མི་གཙངམ་འདི་ ཁོ་ཁ་བཏོན་ད་ དེ་ལས་འབདན་དྲག་ཡར་ཉོ་འོང་། ད་ འ་ནཱི་ ད་ ད་རེས་བཟུམ་ཅིག་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ མང་ཤོས་ཀྱིས་རོགས་ ལ་ལུ་ཀེན་སར་ཟེར་སླབ་ཨིན་པས། ལ་ལུ་ ཨཱལ་སར་ཟེར་སླབ་ཨིན་མས། འ་ནི་ལུ་འདི་ ཕན་ཐོགས་པས།

After the government stepped in to care for it, many people in Bhutan have come to know about it. Not only the three states of Bhutan (Shar, Wang and Paro) but also from abroad. As they know the advantages of that holy spring, in a single day they may take minimum of twenty buckets [of water] and maximum of 100 buckets.

ད་ འ་ནཱི་འདི་ ང་བཅས་ནཱ་ལུ་ ད་ འ་ནཱི་གི་ ན་ཧིང་གཞེས་ཧིང་ ད་ རོགས་ ལྷ་ཁང་འདི་ཚུ་ ཕར་ གཞུང་ལུ་འ་ནཱི་འབད་སྦེ་ཚར་ཞིནམ་ལས་ ཏེ་ གཅིག་གིས་གཉིས་ལུ་སླབ་ གཉིས་ཀྱིས་གསུམ་ལུ་སླབ་སྦེ་ཚར་ཞིནམ་ལས་ ད་ ང་བཅས་ར་གི་ ཤར་ཝང་སྤ་གསུམ་འདི་ ཏེ་ ད་ ཤེས་ ནཱ་འབྱོན་པའི་གི་ཁར་ ཕྱི་གི་རྒྱལ་ཁབ་ཀྱི་མི་འདི་ཚུ་གིས་ཡང་ ད་ འ་ནཱི་ཕན་ཐོགས་པས་ཟེར་ ད་ འ་ནཱ་ལས་ ཆུ་དབོག་སྟེ་གིས་ ཏེ་ ཉིནམ་རེ་རེ་ལུ་ ཡུདཔ་ཅིག་ ད་ ཆུ་ཇར་ཀིན་(གྱིབ་) ཏེ་ ཡུད་ཅིག་ཁལ་ལྷགཔ་ ཉུང་ཐག་ལུ་ དེ་ལས་ ཡར་ མཐོ་ཤོས་འདི་ལུ་ ཏེ་ ཡུདཔ་ཅིག་ བརྒྱ་ལྷགཔ་སྦེ་འདི་ ག་གིས་ཡང་ ད་ ལ་ལུ་ ཕིམ་ཕུག་འབག་འགྱོཝ་མས།

Some they take toward Paro [to the west] and some to beyond Pelela [to the east] as they know the advantage of holy spring.

ལ་ལུ་སྤ་རོ་ལུ་འབག་འགྱོཝ་མས། ལ་ལུ་རོགས་ ནཱ་ལས་ཕར་ དཔལ་ལི་ལ་བརྒལ་ཏེ་རང་ཕར་ ཏེ་ ཤར་ཁ་ཐུག་ལུ་ཡང་ འ་ནཱི་སྦེ་ཕན་ཐོགས་པས་ཟེར་ འ་ནཱི་སྦེ་རང་འབག་འགྱོཝ་མས། ཏེ་ འ་ནཱི་འདི་ ག་ཏེ་གུ་ཏེ་གི་མི་འོང་ནི་འདུག་ལགས་ད།། །།
