The statue of Lama Dragpo Marchen is similar to Phurpa (Skt. Vajrakīlaya). Lama Tobgay says regularly offers rites and supplicates him because it is believed that he will cleanse all our inner, outer and invisible misfortunes.

    The word Mar means tutelary deity, a animal Dragmar for clearing exoteric, esoteric and mystic obstacles.

    Lama Tobgye:་ Till now we prayed to him and he too always bless us from obstacles of illness. Our country till date enjoy the fruits of prosperity and happiness without warfare and famine all because of his blessings.
