ཏེ་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་ དཱ་སཱའི་ཅིག་བརྩི་སྲུང་ཞུ་ནི་ཡོད། དཱ་སཱའི་འདི་ ཧེ་མ་བརྩི་ནི་མེད་ དེ་སྦེ་ཏིར་ཐ་ཡོག་ནང་ བཱ་རད་བུ་མི་ལུ་ ལྷ་དགའ་འབྱེད་དང་ རོ་རྙེད་མ་ནགས་ཚལ་ནང་འགྱོཝ་ད་ ལངྐ་མགྲིན་བཅུ་གི་ རོ་རྙེད་མ་བཙན་ཁྲིད་འབད་དེ་ འཁྱིད་ཡར་སོང་ནུག

To share about why we celebrate dassain is long before when Hindu dharma didn’t celebrated Dassain after Satya Jug came Tirtah Jug. During Tirtah Jug, somewhere in Bharat Bhumi (India) god incarnated in the form of Lord Shri Ram and Rama taking Sita went exile into forest. From there, Ravan abducted and took sita to Lanka.

དེ་ལས་ དགའ་འབྱེད་གིས་ ལྷ་དབང་ཕྱུག་ལུ་ སྐྱབས་འཚོལ་ཏེ་ རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཕར་ཁ་ལས་ ལངྐ་མགྲིན་བཅུ་བསད་དེ་ རོ་རྙེད་མ་ལོག་ཁྱིད་འོང་ནུག

Then Ram went in search of Sita seeking refuge from Durga Devi and performed ritual of Durga Devi. With blessing and power of Goddess Durga, he crossed the ocean and crossing other side of ocean, killed ten headed Ravan and brought Sita back.

ལངྐ་མགྲིན་བཅུ་བསད་དེ་ ལོག་ཞིནམ་ལས་ ཀྲི་ཀ་སྦྱར་ཏེ་ ལྷ་དབང་ཕྱུག་ལུ་ གསོལཝ་བཏབ་སྟེ་ དཱ་སཱའི་འདི་འགོ་བཙུགས་གནང་ནུག

Thereafter, killing ten headed Ravan, coming back celebrated victory by putting Tika and performed Puja in the name of Durga Devi. And after that Ram instructed people his subject to celebrate Dassain Putting Vijaya Tika and perform Puja for Durga. Therefore, we celebrate Dassain.

དེ་ལས་ ཏི་ཧར་འདི་ ལྷོ་མཚམས་ཀྱི་ ཟླཝ་ ༩ པའི་ནང་ཕོགཔ་ཨིན། ལྷའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཁོ་གི་སྲིངམོ་འབད་སར་བྱོན་ནུག་ དེ་བསྒང་ཁོ་དང་གཅིག་ཁར་ བྱ་ཨོ་ལ་འོངམ་ལས་ མོ་གིས་བྱ་ཨོ་ལ་ལུ་ཡང་ གུས་བཏུད་འབད་ནུག་ དེ་ལས་ ཨོ་ལ་ཏི་ཧར་འགོ་བཙུགས་ནུག་ དེ་ལས་ ཕྱི་རུ་མི་ཚུ་འཛོམས་ཏེ་ ལགཔ་ཐལ་རྩེད་བརྡུངས་འབད་ བཱི་ལོ་འཐེན་ནུག

And another thing is we celebrate Tihar in the Month of Kartik. This is once; Dharma Raj went to his sister Yamuna’s home. On the day of Trayodashi in Kartik month, Dharma Raj went to sister’s place and along with him went a crow. And Yamuna thinking she should treat a crow that came with her brother, she celebrated tihar, did Puja and fed Crow. Therefore people celebrates crow Tihar. And later in the evening, the entire Subject gathered and all said it is good to have Dharma Raj visited them and started claping. Then begin tradition of chanting Bhailo.

འདི་གི་ནང་ ཕར་རོ་ཁྱི་ཡང་ ལྷའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་དང་འོངམ་ལས་ རོ་ཁྱི་ཏི་ཧར་ཟེར་ རོ་ཁྱི་ལུ་མེ་ཏོག་གི་ཕྲེང་བ་བཏགས་ཏེ་འབད་ནུག་ དེ་བསྒང་ཡང་ མི་ཚུ་གིས་ དེཝ་ཤུ་རེ་འཐེན་གནང་ནུག

Then next day, on chaturdashi of kartik month, even dog went along with dharma Raj and Yamuna thinking she should be treating the dog that came along her brother she put garland around neck of the dog and did Puja and celebrated Kukur Tihar (Tihar for Dog). Again all the subject of the village came along and chanted saying Dharma Raj to bless them. This led to begin the tradition of chanting Dauw-shree song.

ཉིནམ་མཇུག་ལུ་ དྲོ་པ་བ་ལུ་ གུས་བཏུད་ཞུ་འབད་ དེ་ལས་ ཕྱི་རུ་ནོར་ལྷ་ལུ་ གུས་བཏུད་ཞུ་འབད་ དེའི་ནངས་པ་དྲོ་པ་ལྷའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་གི་སྲིངམོ་གིས་ ཁོ་ལུ་ཀྲི་ཀ་སྦྱར་མེ་ཏོག་གུ་ ཕྲེང་བ་བཏགས་གནང་ནུག འདི་ལས་ཚུར་འདི་བཙུགས་ཏེ་ ཏི་ཧར་ཡང་ན་དི་བ་ལི་འདི་འགོ་བཙུགས་འབྱུང་ནུག།

And on the last day of the Kartik month, we have to do Puja for cow saying she is mother to all. And later in evening we do Puja of Lakshmi, Goddess of wealth. And after that, on next day it is said Yamuna put Tika for brother Dharma Raj and adorned brother with flower Garland. And even brother said prayers and blessed sister. Thereafter he instructed people to do same and started celebrating Tihar.
