The story of Aum Wangmo and her treasure is popular in Bjena County under Wangdue District. During the reign of the second king of Bhutan, Aum Wangmo possessed a griddle that could prepare a meal for twenty people in fifteen minutes. A woman heard about the powerful griddle, and spread the news to whole village. When the news reached the ears of the head of the community, he ordered the seizure of the griddle and of the treasure that Aum Wangmo accumulated thanks to it.
