    ལགས་སོ། མ་པ་ང་བཅས་ཁེངས་ཁ་སྨད་ཀྱི་ གཉེན་གྲོགས་ཀྱི་སྐོར་ལས་ ད་ཅི་ཞུ་ཡི་ལགས། རྨགཔ་སྦེ་འཁྱིད་འོང་མི་གི་བཤད་པ་འདི་ ད་ཅི་(ཀུན་བཟང་འཕྲིན་ལས་)ཀྱིས་ བཤད་པ་རྐྱབ་ཅི།
    Well! Actually, regarding the marriage in the lower kheng, I told already, how bridegroom is brought.
  • རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ Rinchen Penjo
    ཨིན་དེ་ར་འབད་རུང་ ད་ཀྲཱུང་མ་གི་བཤད་པ་ནང་ལྷོད་ཅི་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ནི་ཨིན། ཀྲཱུང་མ་གི་སྐོར་ལས་ ལོ་གཅིག་གི་རྒྱབ་ལས་ ཀྲཱུང་མ་ཟེར་ ང་བཅས་ཕམ་(བུ་གི་ཕམ་)འདི་ཚུ་ བུ་འཚོལ་བར་ཟེར་འོང་ནི་ཡོད་ལགས།
    Till then, now let me explain on amulet. Regarding amulet, after one year, parents come searching their son.

    རྩ་བོ་འདི་ཚུ་ ཕམ་འབད་སར་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་བུ་བྱང་ཡི་ ག་དེ་སྦེ་ཨིན་ན་ཟེར་ ག་ཏེ་ཡོད་ག་ཟེར་ དེ་བསྒང་ ང་བཅས་ཕམ་(བུམོ་གི་ཕམ་)ཚུ་གིས་ སླབ་འོང་ལགས་ ཨའེ་ཡོད་སྨ་རེ་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱིས་ བདག་འཛིན་འབད་དེ་ཡོད་ཟེར།
    Parents on bridegroom side come to the girl's place stating that they lost their son and where he could be? The parent (parents on girls side) they say, ''Oh! yes we have your son. We kept under our care''.

    ཁྱོད་ཚུའི་མི་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱིས་ བདག་འཛིན་འབད་ཡི་ཟེར་ ཞག་གཅིག་གི་དོན་ལུ་ ད་ལྟོ་ང་བཅས་ཀྱིས་ བདག་འཛིན་འབད་དེ་ཡོད་ཟེར།
    Your personi s kept under our care, we kept for a night but we are caring.

    ཁྱོད་ཚུ་ ནམ་འཚོལ་ཞིབ་འབད་བར་འོང་ག་ཟེར་ ཡོད་སྨ་རེ་ཟེར་ ཕམ་ཚུ་དང་ང་བཅས་ཀྱིས་ དང་ཕུ་གི་ལམ་ལུགས་ནང་དེ་སྦེ་སླབ་ནི་ཡོད་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ནི་ཨིན་ལགས།
    ''We have been looking forward, when you all will come to search for your son. Parents and we in old times have such custom of saying.

    དེ་གི་ཤུལ་ལས་ ད་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཨ་ལོ་ཟེར་མི་ ཏོ་ཀ་ཨ་པ་ཟེར་མི་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱིས་ བདག་འཛིན་འབད་དེ་ཡོད་ཟེར་ ད་ཁྱོད་ར་ལུ་ རྩིས་སྤྲོད་འབད་ནི་ཨིན་ཟེར།
    After that, ''Your child called Tokapa is kept under our care. Now we are going to handover to you''.

    ད་ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་ ལུགས་སྲོལ་དང་ ཕམ་ཚུ་གིས་ སླབ་ཐངས་དེ་སྦེ་ཡོད་ལགས། ཞག་གསུམ་(ལོ་གསུམ་རྨགཔ་རྒྱུགས་པར་)གྱི་རིང་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་ ལག་པར་སྤྲོད་སྤྲོདཔ་ཨིན་ཟེར།
    We have custom of our parents saying '' for duration of three days (which means for span of three years as husband) you have handed over to us''.

    ད་ལྟོ་ཚུན་ཚོད་ཡོད་ཟེར་ ལེགས་ཤོམ་སྦེ་ཡོད་སྨ་རེ་ཟེར་ དེ་ལས་ ང་བཅས་ཚུ་གིས་ ཕམ་ཚུ་གིས་ དེ་སྦེ་སླབ་ནི་ཨིན་ལགས།
    ''Till now, he is fine''. Then we parents say like that.

    དེ་ལས་ ལྷང་པར་ཟེར་འོང་ནི་ཡོད་ལགས། དེ་བསྒང་ ཤ་ནོར་རིན་གོང་ཟེར་ འབག་སྟེ་འོང་ནི་ཡོད། ཤ་ནོར་རིན་གོང་འབགཔ་ད་ཡང་ ཁོང་ར་གིས་ རྒྱས་ཤིང་རྒྱསཔ་སྦེ་ འབག་སྟེ་ཐོན་འོང་ལགས།
    Then, they come saying that they came to begged. At that time, they come with the cost of the meat. When they bring cost of the meat, they calculating everything.
  • རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ Rinchen Penjo
    ཕམ་ཚུ་གིས་དེ་བསྒང་མནའམ་འདི་ རྩིས་སྤྲོད་དགོ་ལགས། ཨིན་ཟེར་ཡོད་སྨ་རེ་ཟེར་ ཡ་ཨིན་སྨ་རེ་ཟེར་ དེ་ལས་ ད་རུང་ ཞག་གཅིག་གི་རྒྱབ་ལས་ ལོག་སྟེ་མར་ཁྱིམ་ནང་ར་ རྩིས་སྤྲོད་པར་འབག་དགོ་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ནི་ཨིན་ལགས་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱིས།
    Parents on girl's side had to handover the bride. ''Yes, we have, ya! Yes ok!'' Then, again after one night, they have to go down to handover.

    བུམོ་དང་ རྨགཔ་སྦྲགས་ཏེ་ལགས་ དེ་བསྒང་ཡང་ ཕྱོགས་སྒྲིག་མ་འདྲཝ་སྦེ་ར་བཀལ་ཏེ་སྡོད་འོང་རོགས་ ད་ང་བཅས་བཤད་པ་ཅིན་ བཤད་མི་ཚར་ནི་མས། དེ་འདི་དང་ཕུའི་ལམ་ལུགས་དང་ ད་རེས་ཀྱི་ གཉེན་དང་གྲོགས་རྩ་ལས་མི་འདྲ་བས་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ནི་ཨིན་ལགས།
    both boy and girl. At that time, there will be grand arrangement for celebration. Now if we explain it in detail, time may not permit. These are all old custom of past and it is different from marriage of present days.

    དང་ཕུའི་ལྟར་དུ་འབད་བའི་ཟེར་བ་ཅིན་ ང་བཅས་རའི་ བལྟ་བ་ཅིན་རབ་ཨིན་པས། ད་རེས་ནངས་པ་གི་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ ལེགས་ཤོམ་ཅིག་མིན་འདུག་ དང་ཕུ་ང་བཅས་རའི་ ཕ་བཟང་གི་ལམ་ལུགས་ཟེར་མི་འདི།
    If done as per old days, if it seems best. As per todays marriage, it seems not that good. The customs of our respectable parents means,
  • རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ Rinchen Penjo
    གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ལེགས་ཤོམ་ཡོད་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ནི་ཨིན་ལགས། དེ་འབདཝ་ད་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱིས་ མནའམ་རྩིས་སྤྲོད་པར་འཁྱིད་འགྱོཝ་ད་ མར་ཁོང་ར་ལས་ ཤ་ནོར་རིན་ཚུར་ལེན་ནི་དང་ ཅ་ལ་འདི་ཚུ་ཕར་སྤྲོད།
    it is of the best custom but when we accompany to handover bride, from boys parents we bring cost of the meat, wealth and then we handover things.
  • རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ Rinchen Penjo
    ཕམ་ལུ་ཡོད་པའི་ ཅ་ལ་ཚུ་ཡང་སྤྲོད་འབདཝ་ད་ ད་རྨགཔ་གི་ཁ་ཐུག་ལས་བཏོན་འོང་ ང་བཅས་མནའམ་གི་ཁ་ཐུག་ལས་ཡང་བཏོན་འོང་ལགས།
    Upon handing over things from parents, both the parents show cases their things.
  • རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ Rinchen Penjo
    ཅ་ལ་འདི་ཚུ་ སྤྲོད་ནི་དང་ སྤྱོད་ནིའི་ཅ་ལ་འདི་ཚུ་སྤྲོད་དེ་ དེ་ལས་ སྐྱེལ་བར་འབག་ སྐྱེལ་བར་འབགཔ་ད་ བསླབ་བྱ་རང་དེ་བསྒང་ཡོད་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ནི་ཨིན་ལགས་ཤུགས་ལས།
    Handing over the things and daily useable things, they go to reach. On going to reach, advice will be given.
  • རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ Rinchen Penjo
    དེ་བསྒང་རྡིག་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ནི་ཨིན། བསླབ་བྱ་འདི་མར་བསྐྱེལ་ཏེ་ ལོག་འགྱོ་རནམ་ད་ ཀྲཱུང་མ་ཟེར་ ད་ཅི་ཅ་ལ་ཡོད་ཟེར་ ཆ་རོགས་(ཀུན་བཟང་འཕྲིན་ལས་) ཀྱིས་ཞུ་མི་འདི་ དེ་བསྒང་ཚར་ཅིག་ རྨགཔ་དང་བུམོ་གི་ ལག་པར་སྤྲོད་འོང་། འདི་ཁར་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ སྟ་རི་ཏོག་ཙེ་ཟེར་ ལཱ་འབད་དེ་བཟའ་ཤིག་ཟེར་ རྨགཔ་ལུ་ འ་ནཱེམ་ཅིག་བྱིན་འོང་ལགས་ ང་བཅས་ཚུ་གིས།
    At that time, celebration will be grand. Advice will be given after reaching the bride when they were about to go back. Sungma (amulet) means as said earlier we have a thing as said by my friend. At that time, once it will be handed over in the hands of son in law and daughter. During that time, we give axe and spade to the husband saying that ''work with it and make a living''.

    གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ བྱིན་ནི་ག་ནི་ཡང་མེད་ ཁོ་ལུ་ཚོགས་བརྡ་གཅིག་རང་ཨིན། རྨགཔ་ལུ་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ ཚོགས་བརྡ་ར་བཏང་དགོ་ལགས། མནའམ་ལུ་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ ཏི་རུ་ཡོད། ཅ་ལ་བྱིན་འོང་ རྨགཔ་ལུ་ཚོགས་བརྡ་གཅིག་ར་ཨིན།
    We don't have anything to give rather we scold him. For husband we need to scold. For bride, we give money and things. For husband we scold only.
  • རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ Rinchen Penjo
    ཁོ་ལུ་ ད་ཅི་ནཱ་ལས་ཞུ་དོ་བཟུམ་ ལམ་འོག་ལུ་ མེ་ཏོག་ག་དེ་བཟུམ་ཅིག་ཡང་ ཤར་ཤརཝ་ཕྱེད་འོང་ཟེར་ ལམ་ལྟག་ལུ་ མེ་ཏོག་ག་ཅི་བཟུམ་ཡང་ ཤར་ཤརཝ་ཕྱེད་འོང་ཟེར་ ཡར་དང་མར་ལས་ མ་འཚོལ་ཤིག་ཟེར།
    For him, as said earlier, we advice him saying, you may come across different beautiful flowers bloomed above and below the road, don't be carried away by them. Don't search there and here. (Irony here is ''you may come across different beautiful girls here and there but you should avoid them'')
  • རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ Rinchen Penjo
    དེ་བཟུམ་འབད་མི་བཏུབ་ཟེར་སླབ་འོང་ ང་བཅས་ཕམ་ཚུ་གིས་ སླབ་ནི་ཨིན། དེ་འབདཝ་ད་ ཕམ་ཚུ་གིས་ དེ་སྦེ་སླབ་འབདཝ་ད་ རྨགཔ་གི་ཁ་ཐུག་ལས་ ག་ཅི་ཡོད་ག་ཟུར་བ་ཅིན་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་ ཁ་ཐུག་ལུ་ ག་ནཱི་མེད་ཁོ་ལས།
    ''You cannot do this. We parents advise him''. When parents say like that, husband does not say anything.
  • རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ Rinchen Penjo
    ཁོ་གི་རིམ་པ་འདི་ ཚོགས་བརྡ་ཞུ་ནི་གཅིག་ར་ཨིན། ད་ལྟོའི་རྨགཔ་ཚུ་གིས་ རིམ་པ་ཟེར་ཞུ་ནི་ ག་ནི་ཡང་མེད་ སླབ་ནི་ཡང་ ག་ནི་ཡང་མེད་ བྱིན་ནི་ཡང་ ག་ནི་ཡང་མེད་པར་འགྱོཝ་མས་ དང་ཕུ་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ དེ་སྦེ་སྡོད་ཅི་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ནི་ཨིན་ལགས།
    His order is to receive scolding only. Husband of present days, there is no order, nothing to say, nothing to give also and it has turned into nothingness but in the past we had such means.
  • རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ Rinchen Penjo
    དང་ཕུའི་ལམ་ལུགས་ལྟར་དུ་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ལེགས་ཤོམ་ཡོད། ད་ལྟོ་གི་ཚུ་གིས་ དེ་བཟུམ་ཅིག་འགྱོ་འབདཝ་ད་ ང་བཅས་ཕ་བཟང་གི་ལམ་ལུགས་ལུ་ ཨ་ཙི་ཅིག་གནོདཔ་མས་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ནི་ཨིན།
    According to the past custom, it was excellent. At present when people degenerate old custom, is affecting our old tradition of doing things.
  • རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ Rinchen Penjo
    དེ་འབདཝ་ད་ དང་ཕུ་ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་ ཕམ་ཚུ་གིས་ སྐྱེལ་བཞགཔ་ད་ ག་དེ་སྦེ་སླབ་འོང་ག་ཟེར་བ་ཅིན་ ཁྱིམ་ནང་སྐྱེལཝ་ད་ དེ་སྦེ་སླབ་འོང་ལགས་ དེ་བསྒང་ བུམོ་ལུ་ སླབ་འོང་ལགས། བུམོ་ལུ་ ག་དེ་སྦེ་ སླབ་འོང་ག་ཟེར་བ་ཅིན་ ཡ་ཟེར།
    But, in the past when parents come to reach, what they say is that when they come to reach home, they used to say like that. At that time, they used to tell to daughter. To daughter, what they say is.
  • རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ Rinchen Penjo
    ཁྱོད་ཨ་ནཱི་ གཡུས་བསྐྱལ་ཡི་སྨ་རེ་ ད་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ཟེར་ ད་ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་ ཕ་མར་མེན་སྨ་རེ་ཟེར་ ནཱ་གི་ ཕམ་ཚུ་གིས་ ཕྱག་ལུ་ཨིན་ཟེར་ ཁྱོད་དྲོ་པ་ལོང་མ་ཤེས་ ཕྱི་རུ་ཉལ་མ་ཤེས་པར་མ་སྡོད་སྨ་རེ་ཟེར།
    ''We reached you in this place. You are not in our hand; you are in the hand of other parent. You don't be late to wake up and don't be late to go to bed''
  • རིན་ཆེན་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ Rinchen Penjo
    མི་གི་སྦུག་ལུ་ བློ་མ་བཙོང་ཤིག། གདབ་མ་ཆགས་ཤིག་?ཟེར་ ལེགས་ཤོམ་སྦེ་ ཕྱག་ཞུ་ཤིག་ཟེར་ སླབ་ནི་ཡོད་ལགས། ང་བཅས་ཀྱིས་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ བུམོ་ལུ་རྒྱས་ཤིང་རྒྱསཔ་སྦེ་ དེ་བསྒང་སླབ་ནི་ཨིན་ ང་བཅས་ཚུ་གིས།
    ''Don't misbehave in the public and don't let people blame on you, serve them good''. Parents used to advice. We used to give detail advice to our daughter at that time.

    རོགས་ཀྱིས་ག་ནཱི་ཡང་སླབ་འོང་ཟེར་ མི་གཞན་གྱིས་ག་ནཱི་ཡང་སླབ་འོང་ གྱོང་བསྟོད་?ཀྱིས་གྱོང་སྨད་ལུ་འབད་འོང་ གྱོང་སྨད་ཀྱི་གྱོང་བསྟོད་ལུ་བསྐྱལ་འོང་ཟེར་ རོགས་ཀྱི་ཁ་ལུ་མ་ཉན་ཤིག་ཟེར།
    People might say anything, people from upper region might blame to people of lower and vice versa. Don't listen to them.

    རང་གིས་འབད་རུང་ རོགས་ཀྱིས་ ག་ཅི་སླབ་མི་ ཕྱག་ཞུ་སྟེ་སྡོད་ཤིག་ ཡར་གྱི་བློ་ཡར་བསྐྱལ་ མར་གྱི་བློ་མར་བསྐྱལ་ནི་ཚུ་ རྩ་ད་སྤུ་ལས་འབད་མི་ཆོག་ཟེར་ ང་བཅས་ཚུ་གིས་ ངེའི་ཁ་ཐུག་ལས་ བུམོ་ལུ་ དེ་བསྒང་ མར་རྨགཔ་གི་གཡུས་ཁར་སྐྱེལ་བའི་སྐབས་ སླབ་ནི་ཡོད་པའི་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ནི་ཨིན་ལགས།
    From your side, follow the orders. You cannot blame saying that secret of above and below are disclosed. From our side, when girl is reached to husband's place we used to advice like that.

    ལེགས་ཤོམ་སྦེ་ དེ་བསྒང་སླབ་སྟེ་བཞག་འོང་ ང་བཅས་ཚུ་གིས་ དེ་བསྒང་བུམོ་ལུ་ འ་ནཱེམ་ཅིག་སླབ་སྟེ་ ཅ་ལ་ཚུ་ སྤྲོད་བཞག་འབད་ཞིནམ་ལས་ དེ་ལས་ ང་བཅས་ཕམ་ཚུ་ ཞག་གཅིག་དང་གཉིས་དེ་ཅིག་ དགའཝ་དགའ་སྤྲོ་འབད་དེ་ ལོག་འགྱོ་འོང་ལགས་ གཞན་ག་ནི་ཡང་མེད་ འ་ནཱེམ་ཅིག་རང་ཨིན་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ནི་ཨིན་ལགས། བཀའ་དྲིན་ཆེ་ལགས།
    At that time, we advice like that and leave her behind. We at that time tell our daughter like that and give away the things. Then we parents stay a night or two. We return back happily. Nothing left, only this much. Thank you!
