Muckiya Gurung is a Manange speaker describing his experience in the 2015 Nepal earthquake. In this video he explains the thought process as the Earthquake was happening and he talks about the lack of aid from the Government.

- DAMŋi ʈupkhjako prakriमेरो बस्ने ठाउँ पनि ब्रागामै हो।My house is also in Braga.
- DAMŋi laŋko mʌnte keहाम्रो भाषा मनाङे हो।We speak Manange language.
- DAMapa ama tsharaŋ mʌnte ke teबुबा आमाले पनि मनाङे भाषा बोल्नु हुन्छ।Even my parents speak Manange.
- DAMŋithiŋri mume ŋi moमेरो घरमा सात जना परिवार छन्।I have a family of 7.
- DAMkolatse pokharari moबच्चाहरू चाहिँ पोखरामा छन्।The kids are in Pokhara.
- DAMmi thepʌtse tsiri khe lʌtse moठूला मान्छेहरू यता काम गरीरहेका छन्।The grown ups are working here.
- DAMniko keri khelaहामीहरू चाहिँ खेतमा काम गर्छौँ।We work at a field.

- DAMphra tsharaŋ ʈa tsi thiŋ tsharaŋ ʈa tsiडाँडाहरू सबै चर्किए, घरहरू पनि सबै चर्किए।there were cracks on some hills and many houses.
- DAMleleko ʈaŋni leleko ʈaŋtsiकुनै कुनै चर्किए, कुनै कुनै भत्किए।Some had cracks, some were completely destroyed.
- DAMokani ŋiko tanta lʌtse ŋiŋtse lʌtseत्यो बेलामा हामीहरू चाहिँ धेरै नै डरायौँ।We got really scared.
- DAMtsithaŋri kur phutse nutseअरिया चौरमा पाल टाँगेर सुत्यौँ।We slept in tents on the filed.
- DAMmume tsharaŋko putsiसबै परिवार बोलायौँ।We called all our family members.
- DAMthintse tsharaŋ tsopko tsiri tuŋtse lʌtseछिमेकीहरू सबै बाहिर निस्केर हरियो चौरमा आए।All our neighbours came to he field.
- DAMkur phuri urinutsiपाल टाँगेर सुत्यौँ।Everysone slept in the tents.

- DAMtsopko ʈhalumko tseteसवै जना चाहिँ चिन्ता लिएर,We were worried.
- DAMtshopkote sẽ atsi tshomसबै जनाहरू मनमा चिन्ता लिएर,Really worried.
- DAMokani pe ŋiŋtseत्यो बेलामा धेरै डराए।We got really scared.
- DAMdzʌmpuliŋko thola piŋtse ŋintsiसँसार नै पल्टिन लाग्यो कि भनेर डरायौँ।We thought the entire world was shaking.
- DAMpe ŋiŋtseधेरै डरायौँ।We were very scared.
- DAMsʌrkar utsiko sʌhʌjog tsila atoसरकारको सहयोग पनि आएन।There was no help from the government.
- DAMsʌrkar bidesi pila tsiri atoसरकार बिदेशिहरू कोही पनि यता आएनन्।No government help, no foreign help.
- DAMthako ajaŋथाहा पनि पाएनौँ।We had no clue what was going on.
- DAMsẽkoreअरू चाहिँ,But..
- DAMlele khjari jaŋmeअरू ठाउँमा चाहिँ पाएछन्।There was aid in some other places.
- DAMlele prakkori suri ajaŋकोही कोही, ब्राकामा चाहिँ कसैले पनि पाएनन्।But nothing in Bakra.
- DAMkompo tsotsoŋkori hjaŋmiगुम्बाहरू जस्तोमा पाएछन्।There was some help in the gumbas.
- DAMseŋkhjariko ajaŋअरू ठाउँमा चाहिँ पाएनन्।But there was no help in any other place.
