Aum Lemo narrates a poem told from the perspective of a mother yak. It expresses the yak's sadness at losing her love and taking her to Paro town for slaughtering. She meets an old yak on the way to Paro town and unexpectedly she becomes pregnant. That sudden birth arrives to her sadness and melancholy, and she worries about her calf during the time of her slaughter. She could hear people demanding her meat before she was slaughtered and when she was tied on the tree, all she could do was cry.

These proverbs had been narrated by the profound scholars of the olden days.ད་ང་གིས་ དཔེ་གཏམ་ཆུང་ཀུ་ཅིག་ན་ལུ་ཞུ་བ་ཅིན། ཏེ་རོགས་སྔོན་མ་ ཏེ་མི་མཁས་མཆོག་ཚུ་གིས་ ཏེ་ཧེ་མ་གསུངས་བཞག་བཞག་པའི་དཔེ་གཏམ་ ཡར་སྒང་གི་སི་ལི་འབྱིམོ་ལུ་དཔེ་སྦྱར་ཏེ་ཞུ་ཞུཝ་ཅིག་ ཏེ་ང་གིས་ཡང་ ན་ལུ་དཔེ་འབད་ ང་ར་འདི་མཁསཔ་བཅའོ་ག་ནི་ཡང་མེན་ འ་ནཱིམ་ཅིག་ན་ལུ་ཞུ་བ་ཅིན།
- ཨམ་གླེ་མོ་ Aum LemoThe female yak of the high mountain, when she was enjoying the beauty of high mountains,(She) eats grasses from the mountain side, and drinks water from the side of the waterfall.ཏེ་ཡར་སྒང་གི་སི་ལུ་འབྱིམོ། །ཉམས་དགའ་བའི་སྒང་སྟོད་བསྐོར་བའི་བསྒང། །རྩྭ་ཟ་བ་སྒང་གི་ཕྱོགས་ལས་ཟ། །ཆུ་འཐུང་བ་སྒང་ཆུ་གསེབ་ལས་འཐུང་། །
- ཨམ་གླེ་མོ་ Aum LemoWhile (she) meet with the young yak as her husband, she desired to have a child,But the her desire was not fulilled.གྲོགས་ལ་གཡག་སྲསཔོ་དང་ཕྱདཔ་ལས། །འབྱིམོ་རང་གི་ལུས་ལུ་བོའུ་ཅིག་དྲན། །བོའུ་དྲན་ཀྱང་ཙམ་ལུ་བོའུ་འཁོར་མ་བཏུབ། །
- ཨམ་གླེ་མོ་ Aum LemoWhile moving downwards, in a plain area called 'Ngare thang',(She) chewed grasses with her teeth from the sides of the way, and drank water from the་swamp.ས་ན་ལས་མར་མར་འགྱོ་ས། །མར་བོད་ཀྱི་མངའ་རི་ཐང༌ལུ། །རྩྭ༌ཟ༌བ༌ལམ༌རྩྭ་སོ་གིས་རྨུར། །ཆུ༌འཐུང༌པ༌འདམ༌ཆུ༌གསེབ༌ལས༌འཐུང༌། །
- ཨམ་གླེ་མོ་ Aum LemoThen, she met with the old yak as her husband, she never desired for child from him,Unfortunately she became pregnant though it was not her desire.གྲོགས༌གཡག༌རྒས་རྒསཔ་ད་འཕྱདཔ་ལས། །འབྱིམོ༌རང༌གི༌ལུས༌ལུ༌བོའུ༌མ༌དྲན། །བོའུ༌མ༌དྲན༌ཙམ༌ལུ༌བོའུ༌གཅིག༌འཁོར། །
- ཨམ་གླེ་མོ་ Aum LemoThe old nomad (her owner) tied her both front and back legs with rope,And took her as the meat.ང༌འབྱོགཔ༌ཡ༌གི་རྒས་པ་གིས། །ཐགཔ༌མགྲིན་ཐག་མདུན༌ཐག༌བཏགས༌ཏེ། །མར༌ཤ་ནོར་འཁྱིདཔ་ལས། །
- ཨམ་གླེ་མོ་When taken downwards, she reached at a place where people were gathered,ས༌ན༌ལས༌མར༌མར༌འཁྱིད༌ས། །མར༌ཚོང༌འདུས་[བལ་?]གྱི་ལྡུམ་ར། །[བལ་?]གྱི་དཀར་ཤིང་སྐྱེ་ས། །And where the cotten trees were grown.

- ཨམ་གླེ་མོ་ Aum LemoAs the child was in her belly, the pain that she was going through was also accompanied by her unborn child. Her owner then approved to slaughter and before the she was stabbed with the sword, people around her started reserving her meat.
